Well, the fact that this is #2 in the series when I thought it was the first may have contributed to the low rating. But this was clearly part of a series ... it was like reading a third of a novel. None of the plot lines were resolved in any significant way, and I was left scratching my head. Trying to figure out now if the story line and the characters are compelling enough to go find the rest of the series, but right now it doesn't look good.
