A good description of what it was like to live during the various political changes in Afghanistan over the last 60 years. I also really enjoyed reading about what it's like to wear a burka from a woman's perspective.
Many probably wonder why she doesn't take her daughters and flee Afghanistan. Reading this book opens the reader's eyes to the dreams Ms. Koofi has for her daughters and her country and provides insight about why she chooses to stay and rebuild her country. Ms. Koofi is a very loyal and dedicated woman!
