really liked it

I got this book free on Kindle one day last year, and began reading it alongside some of Mr. Berry's Port William fiction. If you are going to read this (Scott Corbin), I recommend reading it alongside his fiction. Each one fleshes out the other in a really beautiful way. In some ways it was paradigm shifting for me, in other ways not so much. But regardless of whether I agreed the point Berry was making in a particular essay, he always made his point in a pithy or poetic and quotable way. Overall it was a helpful and enjoyable read, and I thought only a few of the essays were a tad dull.
