I knew this book was going to be sad before I'd even started it. Which is probably why I didn't enjoy it fully. It's easy to take one's intelligence for granted. You read, you write, you surf the net. You seldom think of what it takes (mentally) to do any of those tasks. But imagine if you found out you were losing it...
