This book will haunt me for days to come; it's an incredibly powerful story about bullying, sports, loyalty and secrets. I didn't know much about the book and was not prepared for the emotional impact it had. It's told from the perspective of two very different athletes-- Danny, a gymnast, and Kurt a football player. A feud between the teams begins and continues on a violent, tragic path. I highly recommend this book, although it is quite intense at times with some incredibly graphic scenes. The overall message about bravery and standing up for oneself and others is one that everyone, athlete or not, can relate to.
