really liked it
bookshelves: nonfiction
Recommended for: naturalists, entomologist wannabes, those who enjoy the grotesque
Read from January 02 to 04, 2012

Wicked Bugs is an entertaining nicely put together overview of a variety of deadly, destructive, or simply disturbing invertebrates. Many entries are accompanied with anecdotes, which may be either horrifying or entertaining. The creepy-crawlies are lovingly illustrated and described with a sense of humor and no undue sensationalism. Perfect for everyone inclined to thoughts like "Ooh, cool! I never knew that about body lice!"
