This book felt like a rush to the finish line. I kept thinking now that Jean Auel has made her money she is not hungry anymore. I think the best work comes when you are hungry and climbing toward something. This story no longer feels like it is climbing toward anything.

There were many intresting parts about the artistry in the caves and the interactions of the cave people, but for the most part this book seemed like Auel was bored and regurtitating past history.

If she writes another book for the Earth Children, I hope she proves she is still hungry.

Diana I totally agree with review. I loved the other books and we waited so long for this one and it was a HUGE disappointment
