My son received this as a gift yesterday and let me borrow it to read in the car today. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Glad I pre-read it, so that when we read it together, I will be slightly less likely to sob uncontrollably at certain parts. Ha.

2/17/12: Finally started reading this with O. It's such a great read-aloud.
2/25/12: Finished with O. At one point he read ahead on his own and told me tearfully that he did *not* like the book and didn't want to read it anymore. I was kind of surprised, as he's been pretty nonchalant about other sad scenes in books we've read. I talked him into finishing it, though, and he did end up enjoying it. I managed to more or less keep it together as I was reading the emotional parts.
