I am on a Romantic Suspense kick at present and Laura Griffin is one of my new favorite authors. I believe this is one of her first tries at Romantic Suspense, so I didn't like it as much as her Tracer series, but it was still pretty good. It is the story of Feenie Malone, a divorced, almost broke, part-time writer of fluff pieces for the local newspaper and Marco Juarez an ex-cop, now PI, who is looking for answers to his sister's murder. During the course of his investigation, he begins to suspect Feenie's ex-husband and that's where he meets Feenie, who is also investigating her ex, and sparks start to fly. I liked the conflict and the romance between the two main characters, as well as the back story about Feenie's best friend and her husband (who get their own followup book) and the storyline concerning Feenies ex. All in all an enjoyable read.
