I love how normal and abnormal Emma and Brendan's relationship is. They were so adorable together and every time something sweet would happen between them, my romantic side just sighed. It's so cheesy, but so amazing all at once. I mean the whole soul mates thing? Cheesy, but I ate it all up. What can I say? I like cheese. ;) A few things bothered me though.

1) We don't get to find out what happens to that hoe Kristin
2) We don't ever see any more of Henry, it's like after he played his role, he was cut out
3) What happens to Ashley? She only pops into the story sporadically and I couldn't really stamp a role on her other than "cousin".
4) The same with Jenn, she's just there randomly
5) Angelique was the only one to really fit in perfectly with her role as BFF and local witch who knows everything.

The book is in no way perfect, but it was good enough to fulfill all of my inner-romantic's desires.
1) Hot guy? Check
2) Endearing heroine? Check
3) Magic? Check
4) Doomed love? Check

Shultz could have concluded everything better and come up with a prettier design for the crest, but whatever. I still love this book.
