Interesting book -- it made me want to learn more about Jefferson and his children with Sally Hemings. It is amazing to me that he not only wrote or co-wrote the "Declaration of Independence" but also owned over a hundred slaves. Such a contradiction. I thought that having the book written from the perspective of his "secret" family was very interesting and well done.
