In a world where a flu pandemic turned into a zombie apocalypse apparently Davy Rothbart still takes the time to collect and publish Found?

Well, not exactly, but Dead Inside, takes a very similar idea. Instead of collecting true Found notes however, they gather, through a project called Lost Zombies, notes, photos, and recordings sent in from people all over the world from a future where the zombie apocalypse has occurred and destroyed most of civilization.

The notes are very true to life, very similar to the authentic found notes of Found magazine and some similar to the notes sent in to Post Secret as well. They are confessions, lists, commands, warnings, threats and letters. They span all age ranges and cultures and deal with things from every day life musings to last letters to loved ones to instructions on survival.

I found this book very interesting and a unique in a pretty well played out genre. A rare find.
