really liked it

Why doesn't Stephen King get more respect from the literary world? He's the only author I know who can take a reader through over 800 pages without losing pace or interest. (Take that Ken Follett.) His story lines are well mapped out with no dead ends or unnecessary detours. As a reader you just don't question his decisions. I rarely read books with this kind of solid faith. I know HE knows exactly what he is doing at all times. So rather than waste my energy doubting and second guessing his decisions, all my focus is on the story itself. And that is the pure addictive rush of reading pleasure this addict is eternally searching for.
