I really liked this book. It wasn't "brilliantly written", but it was easy to read, easy to get into. The Holocaust can be a very painful, horrific subject to read about. I was glad it wasn't too graphic and horrible, while still letting you know what was going on.

I must say, I really wish the ending would have been a little different. I don't know if I wanted more, or if I just expected the moment of realization to be more emotional between Lenka and Josef. But, I felt like I needed a little more of something. I am glad I have a good imagination. :)

Anyhow, a very touching holocaust love story. Worth reading.
