The pictures in this part story part comic book is really the only thing worth noting here. This book adapts very well into Silver Bullet. The film version has a very nice plot that uses only portions of this story since their isn't much to tell here. Imagery like the Reverend answering the door on Halloween or Mary outside playing in his wheelchair with the fireworks given to him by his Uncle held my attention. No to mention the plethora of gory deaths, amongst them the werewolf tearing out the Sheriff's cheek flesh revealing his bloody gums and teeth. (After the Sheriff assured all that there was no WEREWOLF to be worried about.)

The twelve month cycle structure that King went for felt forced, and not needed.
