it was amazing

** spoiler alert ** Gibson's follow-up to Neuromancer, it is populated by an almost completely different set of characters (The Finn shows up again).

The merger of the Wintermute and Neuromancer AIs has taken an unexpected turn as they've splintered into smaller pieces and taken on the personas of voodoo loa who can take possession of hackers and who are just as manipulative as Wintermute was in the first novel.

Bobby, the wannabe cyberspace cowboy is annoying but easy to relate to. Turner, the mercenary, is the hero Case could never be. Marly, the former gallery owner, is something entirely new to the Sprawl trilogy--a soundly middle class character who can afford a few luxuries, though she is no where near as wealthy as Lucas or Virek.
