Killing Me Softly is my first contemporary British novel. I can't say I loved it but it was a fluid read and the characters had depth. I finished it around two weeks ago yet I can't remember a single characters name. Perhaps that a reflection of my poor memory. Or maybe it says the authors deep and lovely characters aren't memorable. As I said, the book was fluid but the plot was runny. It went from one f***ed scenario to the next until the most inconclusively ending. One worse, I can't be sure if it was erotica or a mystery/thriller or a romance story. I don't have a favorite part of Killing Me Softly and I wasn't filled with dread when it ended. 2 stars is almost too kind.
