Zombies? Check. Post apocalyptic world? Check. Fast-paced plot with lots of twists and turns? Check. James Dashner’s The Death Cure is the third and final book in his Maze Runner Trilogy and it does not disappoint. The excitement that started with the Maze Runner and builds throughout The Scorch Trials is carried through to the last installment. Thomas and his companions continue to try to survive and sort out if super organization WICKED is good or evil. With 25 pages left in the book I figured there was no way Dasher could wrap it all up but he manages to do so in a way that left me satisfied with the conclusion to the series. This series will appeal to any fan of a good adventure but is a nice bet for a reluctant male teen reader.
