i do love this book but its also true that females are portrayed as evil and manipulative in the novel.i am not saying that this novel is misogynistic but it can be perceived as misogynistic.Big nurse was responsible for the deaths of billy and mccmurphy although indirectly. even prostitutes are portrayed as mere objects and source of pleasure for men. violent act at the end(mccmurphy's assault on big nurse) is a typical women hating society's behavior. negative vocabulary is used like bitch, vulture and ball cutter.big nurse, billy's mother, vera harding and chief's mother they all are shown as powerful, manipulative and evil.
