Earth Angel (Falling Angels Saga, #2)

Megan Barnett is still reeling from her battle against Satan. In the blink of an eye, she's lost her two best friends - Matt, who died for the noble cause and Erin, who blames her for Matt's death. The loss of both deals her heart a heavy blow, but she knows that sometimes all things happen for a reason. Even if she can't quite understand why.
She now has a cute boyfriend, an angel, no less, by her side. Surely, that counts for something. Yet deep inside, she knows that nothing can replace the emptiness she feels inside for the loss of her best friends.
Guy Matson, a fallen angel who's fallen in love with Megan, has been entrusted with her safety. A task that isn't as easy as it sounds. Demons have begun to resurface, intent on claiming the weapon that is, unbeknownst to him, in Megan's possession. Trying to hold up his end of the bargain, he does his best to ensure that his new girlfriend is protected at every moment. Yet little does he know, Satan has other plans for them both.
Acquiring a new best friend, Megan tries to understand the paranormal world that now surrounds her. Her mind, at times, cannot fathom that there are angels and demons fighting over her with every step she takes. Yet deep inside, she knows she has the upper hand against Satan. For the moment, anyway.
As her life starts spinning out of control and she finds herself in hot water at every turn, she realizes she needs all the help she can get. With Guy at her side, anything is possible. But only if they can stay alive long enough to complete the mission that has been set forth before them.
I technically should have started reading the first book of this series, but in all honesty, it's not necessary. Sure, it's always good to start at the beginning, but this is the type of series where no matter what you book you start with you, you won't get lost while you're reading it. E. Van was able to fill us in on what transpired in the first book with subtle hints in this second book. I honestly enjoyed every minute of it and look forward to reading the first book soon as well as what transpires next in this series. It's that good!
