** spoiler alert ** Cash has some intense feelings for his step-sister, Sugar. He pretty much raises her after her father dies, but even though he has obviously loved her for a long time he keeps his hands to himself (well, except for when he spanks her) until she's twenty-one. Cash takes her into his bed and they dive into a smoking hot D/s relationship. But Sugar wants to find her own way in the world and is afraid of the intensity of this relationship, so she runs away for a few years. When she returns home because of a family emergency, Cash tries to pick up where they left off, but Sugar resists - earning a few spankings along the way. The Unrequited Dom just might be my favorite book by Carolyn Faulkner. I've loved it enough to read it twice within the same month - and that usually never happens for me.
