1º WARNING!!! DON’T READ THIS BOOK BEFORE YOU READ FIRST DROP OF CRIMSON AND ETERNAL KISS OF DARKNESS. OR ELSE YOU'LL FEEL KIND OF LOST, LIKE I FELT. NOT COOL, NOT COOL AT ALL!

2º WARNING!!! DON’T READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THE PREVIOUS BOOKS. IT HAS SPOILERS ABOUT THE PLOT. BUT NOT TOO MUCH. JUST A LITTLE.

The Plot –
Since this is book five in the series, I think is time for a little walk down the memory lane. Shall we? Ok. So, Kat was an strange teen. Pale, redhead and with some freaky gifts. When she was sixteen her mother told her that she had been raped by a vamp and that Kat was half&half. Oh, and that all vamps were evil and that she was one too. I guess the speech was something like this:

Justine – Kat, I need to tell you something.

Kat – What, mom?

Justine – Your dad was a vampire/demon/rapist and the odds are that you’ll turn up just like him.

Kat – What?

Justine – Now go. Make yourself useful. Go kill some vamps.

Kat – But, mom.

Justine – Obey me. Devil child, devil child, devil child! *spit on the ground and cross herself three time*

Yep, very dramatic and heartfelt stuff. So, Kat starts to kill vamps with her charm and sweet talk. It was all good and well until she meet with *drums please* Bones! Can you still hear me over all the squeal, and sighs and faints? Oh yeah, that’s right, I’m the one doing the squealing, and sighing and fainting. LoL
So, Bones is not some ordinary vamp. He is a master vamp and dazzle Kat with his sparkling self. No, he don’t actually sparkles. This ain’t Twilight after all. It’s more like a glow, or magnetism or some animal attraction, I can’t put my finger on it. But is strong, wow, very strong.
He beats her up, she learn to fight, he falls for her, she falls for him. She gets away cose she thinks that is protecting him and all that stuff . A few years later she is working for some secret organization killing bad vamps and they meet again. Turns out the reason she left him was dumb (I knew it from the start, so dumb) and they get back together *happy face*. They fight a lot, the make out a lot. There’s some, as Kat says, butseks, not much, but is there *giggle* Justine is a bitch, but she loves her daughter. Wee meet some more vamps. Mencheres, Vlad (yeah, it’s what you’re thinking), Spade, Liam and some minors vamps too. There’s some voodoo. The Queen (Magestic) is the best. I love the fact that she is a Matrix fan. Matrix is like the best movie EVAH!
Kat does some stupid stuff, Bones does some stupid stuff. They break up *tear*. They get back together *even more tears, happy tears*
Kat turn vamp so that the ghouls (they are like zombie but with a functional brain or something like that) and her freaky french supposed to be husband can leave her alone (yeah, like that’s gonna happen).
She was a freaky half human, now she is a freaky vamp. What’s the freaky part? That’s too juicy for me to tell here. But if your read the previous books you know what I’m talking about *wink*
Well, that’s it for the previous books. Now, in this book, Kat has new powers to play with and she has to stop some really big war between the vamps and the ghouls.
We se ghosts, a lot of them and some pretty heavy black magic. Things are definitely hitting the vent on this one.

The Characters – Kat and Bones, what to say about them? I melt with their love for each other. The fact that Bones can love Kat and still mess the heck out of her is what I love the most. He doesn’t treat her like a little flower and that’s such a relief. Tuff love is so much fun *raising eyebrow*
Family drama, sad, sad stuff. Justine shows yet again another side of her. She is growing on me, like a weed. LoL
The characters, all of them, changed over the series, but this is a good thing cose it means growth. I miss some trades of them earlier selves, but this is life. You get over, get old, and move on. The important stuff are still there and that’s what matters.

The Writing – Wow, I can honestly say I’ll read every word this author will ever write. The twists and turns are better than ever and it’s an addiction I love. I feel I’ll have to listen to this series again in a near future.

The Audio Book Recording – The volume was great, her voice ton very nice, passing perfect, interpretation is the best ever!!! This girl can read the telephone book and I would gladly listen to it. She is that awesome.

Considerations – I’m so pissed off cose nobody told me to read the FDOC and EKOD before this book. I felt like there was some inside joke going on and I was the only one that wasn’t laughing. So not cool.
I really love this book, this whole series. I can’t say exactly why. I just feel good listen to this series. I laugh, I smile a lot, I blush a lot too. *giggle* This book however has a cliffhanger in the end that is eating me alive. Unfortunately I need to finish the 2 gaps in my life (FDOC and EKOD) then, and only then, I’ll listen to the 6º book.
Over all I keep on loving this series and all in it. The good, the bad, the happy and the sad. But specially the kinky in it. *giggle and blush a little*

* I’ll put the pics later.
