I was intrigued as I started this thriller which intertwined the subject of global warming. However, as I read it I felt as if the author was hand picking specific quotes from specific references to support denial of global warming. It was quite disappointing as many people may then be using a novel as their source of information when "Most climate scientists dispute Crichton's science as being error-filled and distorted." (Wikipedia).

It was a good book though, as I flew through all 600+ pages. The ending is a little lackluster though and mostly seemed to advocate what people should do in regards to the environment. So beware, read the book for enjoyment, but don't base how you live your life on just this novel.
