Wow....... Got to say, before, I thought this was gonna be... "Ehh..." Because of the mention of "Love Triangles" But, when I got a hold of that ARC, Wow... IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Josie cleared up a lot of messes we were talking about. such as, the cousins part, and added a very cute new character ;D
LOVED IT!!!
I stayed up all night reading it! Definite must read!!!
My review before I read this:
"A... Love.. Triangle... WTF... I now completely DETEST love triangles.. I mean, it is good the first few times you read them, but when the YA authors keeps on writing them OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN... IT JUST GETS SOO ANNOYING... After Twilight came out, all of the authors just keeps on writing this similar plot line, OVER AND OVER...
Also, I agree with Paige, the whole, we-are-cousins-so-we-cant-be-together thing just DRIVES ME NUTS... People CAN marry their cousins... and if Helen and Lucas truly loves each other, then that really won't matter to them...
All in all, I AM going to buy this book.. and I really want the ARC of it, and i cant wait until it comes out!
BUT PLEASEE.. IM BEGGING YOU JOSIE, PLEASE NO MORE LOVE TRIANGLES... Many fans (including myself) are getting really tired of it..."

its not really that its illegal (or not) for them to marry, the real reason is revealed in dreamless. and have a little faith in Angelini, shes blantantly an amazing author so please dont judge it by the small clues we've been leaked (such as a 'love triangle') :)

yeah! She IS an AMAZING AUTHOR and I'm IN LOVE with this series, but just putting out there, that now, some people are getting tried of the love triangle that is yet to be announced. You also made my desire for this book increase! The reason! WHAT IS THE REASON!! Thanks for clearing up and straightening my thoughts out, Amie! :D
I'm confused..Spoiler alert!!
I thought Helen and Lucas still didn't know that they aren't cousins? Or did I totally miss that part? :P
To Aletta, yeah, in starcrossed, around the end, they do get informed that they are cousins...and Georgia, well, you have to read the book to find out!! :D
Happy Readingg!!
@InaBook 1 or book 2?
Because I reread the last pages of book 1 and Daphne said 'I ask that the House of Thebes care for their cousin, Helen, Heir to the House of Atreus...' (Page 504)
And later Daphne said 'You and I are the only family he (Hector) has now and he needs to trust me. You both do.'
Now I'm not sure about the second book, but I'm really not that curious anymore. The sequel was not what I wanted it to be :(
Could it be that I read a different copy?
Book 1. Because in book 2, they already know that they are related and are trying to stay away form eachother... (I think that is a spoiler..... SORRY)Well, I read the ARC of Dreamless. I didn't buy the actual, hard-cover copy so I don't really know if you read a different copy of the book. Nonetheless, this is a really good story.
