This was a decent crime mystery story about a detective named Harry Bosch, retired for 3 years from the LAPD, and pulled back into service in order to re-examine a 17 year old murder of a young girl.

The story line was tight and the author's knowledge of police practices and procedures was obvious. As the story progressed, I was drawn more and more into the book, and by the end I was very anxious to find out 'who done it.'

I didn't realize that this particular book is #11 of a series about detective Bosch until after I finished the story. The characters and the story line held up well, and reading earlier books in the series isn't necessary in order to enjoy this read.

I'll likely read more books by Michael Connelly in the future.
