it was amazing

Read from February 03 to 04, 2012

This was a beautifully moving story about a boy with a rare birth defect overcoming fears, insecurities, and the cruelty of others. It was funny, heartbreaking, and inspirational. I was so impressed by the realness of the story, and found myself completely absorbed after finishing the first paragraph. The style of writing is relateable, and all of the characters completely believable. I particularly enjoyed the various viewpoints from which August's (aka "Auggie") story is told. The message behind this story is powerful. I truly believe all children (and adults) should read this book and head it's message.
