I would have liked this installment a lot more if the mystery surrounding the mysterious demon deaths had been cleared up. I know that's probably what the next book is going to deal with, but I would've liked a little more closure than just apprehending Roland, a half-assed perpetrator. I did actually really like this book, especially since something between Sophie and Will actually happened! I would have enjoyed more Alex time, too, since Sophie's inner dialogue is a lot of her trying to figure out whether she wants Alex or Will. It would've been so great to see more of the relationship between Alex and Will, and Sophie's reaction to it. There were definitely some good opportunities to observe the dynamic between them, like when Alex calls Will to take care of Sophie. But I'm looking forward to reading the next one!
