Rachel's review of The Night of January 16th
The Night of January 16th (Plume) by Ayn Rand
I did this play in high school then directed it in college. It as the benefit of having a large cast for a drama. The story is quirky. The staging unique (it's a courtroom drama where 13 people from the audience are chosen to be the jury and make the decision about the defendant's innocence or guilt at the end. - 2 different endings are written into the script).
Our advisor complained that it falls short as a courtroom drama because it didn't prove "beyond a reasonable doubt", but hey, it's fun with lots of fun characters to play.
