We used this as a textbook in my US History class, and it was a wonderful resource - especially when we compared it to what our official textbook told us. Zinn is incredibly passionate about presenting the untold history of our country, particularly that of minorities and traditionally oppressed groups, which can only be beneficial to students. Everyone should have to read this book - you don't have to agree with its message, but the only way to get a clear picture of history is to hear as many sides of the story as you can.
