it was amazing

I think it is immensely difficult to write a book that is funny - as in, laugh out loud funny - and Ms. Fey has definitely succeeded. She manages to be comedic and snarky and yet ethical and honest in how she does this. It is fascinating to read about her working years leading up to 30 Rock and I left this book thinking, wow, she is smart; wow, she is funny; and wow, I'm convinced that if only we met in real life, we'd be best friends. After all, my first name is Tina too. Ha! But you know what i mean - she has a very real down-to-earth quality that is really appealing.

My 17 year old read this before me and I am very glad she did; Bossypants has some great takes on sexism and appearance and image and at this age, my kid is much more likely to hear it from Fey than from me.

Great read.
