really liked it

I really liked Ocean's Touch. Not least of all because it doesn't use euphemisms.

The characters are well formed and engaging, the story well formed and the writing is neat (though there are a few cliches) and tight and there is no shying away from the fact that it's erotic romance for a mature readership. There are "dirty words" aplenty, all appropriately used and wielded. It's wonderfully refreshing and I enjoyed it very much.

If you're shy of "dirty words" and would prefer what I consider meaningless euphemisms, allowing you to fill in the blanks as you please, I suggest you give this a miss. For my earthier reading friends, it's bloody wonderful.

PS There is a magnificent blog on Denise Townsend's web site the explains why not to euphemise. In her real life (and I won't reveal her real name here) she's got the credibility to back up her literary advice. Most of all, I hate euphemisms with a fiery passion, so she's got my backing on that score.
