Weird book to be reading during Xmas and New Years, especially when stressed out from work, holidays, etc. Excellent read, but heavy, of course. Seems very well researched. I still thought that Columbine had been caused by members of the Trenchcoat Mafia who had been bullied by jocks (thanks, media!). These guys were not into Marilyn Manson, (but were totally into Rammstein and KMFDM, apparently), so Manson got a bum rap and had to cancel a tour when the media started blaming him Oh, hysteria. And I loved the great story that ABC ran with about the goth menace that was endangering America. Oh, those violent, scary goths. The "martyrship" of Cassie Bernall is another interesting bit - she's the girl that was supposedly killed for standing up for God, a story that was later debunked but her evangelically flavored "bio" still became a million selling book. A really good job revealing the lead-up to the massacre and the motivations and upbringing of Dylan/Eric, as well as the long term aftermath.
