bookshelves: history-biography

The depth and breadth of this book is amazing, without becomeing bogged down in detail. It moves along, and now I want to read a stand-along biography of Eleanor Roosevelt! I especially appreciated the description of the relationship between FDR and Eleanor. There is also quite a bit of history about the African American experience during the war. I'm glad Kearns Goodwin is prolific; she is a joy to read.
