This book for me started slow...I'm not sure if it was my mood or what. I wasn't aching to read more faster like I have been with some other books. I did notice a few similarities with other books within this genre, but it wasn't so much that it killed the book for me. I did really like the authors writing (although I did notice a few typos and errors) and liked how she made such a bad ass female heroine. Towards the middle to the end of the book it really started to pick up the pace and I found myself more drawn to these characters. The ending of course left it was a great cliffhanger, which I love. I don't like to be left hanging...so I am starting the next one.
