I am not going to go into a lot details in regards to what this was about. You HAVE to read A Note In The Margin to understand any of it. If you read that then you will understand the who and why in this story. Otherwise you will be totally lost.

Having said that.......

This was a nice follow-up to one of the most unique stories I've read all year. You have the three main characters from the first book (John, David and Jamie) and the same secondary characters (Adam, Barbara). It is Christmas time and each character has to deal with it in their own way. The center of the story is once again David. I totally love his character because the author took a very serious subject (mental illness) and did not make it all happy and roses. It is a real-life issue and the author shows it as such.

I enjoyed revisiting the bookstore and the cast of characters. I hope to see more follow-ups as time goes on and to see Adam explored more.
