What a great book to begin a new year of reading! There are so many reasons that this wouldn't be a book I like, as it falls into categories that I tend to avoid: Business and Biography. I also had a little trepedation as the hype was huge - the bestselling book of the year, on all the "Best of" lists, the great reviews. But, I bought into the buzz and read it, most of it over a period of 2 days. It was engrossing - Jobs's biography is so entwined with Apple (and a little with Pixar), that this could also be considered the history or biography of Apple. I don't think anyone will be surprised by Jobs's personality, but what is somewhat refreshing is that he knew it - and he considered it his responsibility to be honest, bluntly honest. An inside look at the actual impact he had on technology and our lives, beyond what I even knew, I recommend this to just about anyone. I actually came away from it inspired.
