This was just a fabulous read. Blixen's descriptions of the land and the people are full and lovely and inspiring. She has wonderfully complex thoughts and ideas that accompany her stories as well and I just couldn't get over how well-educated she was. She alludes to Greek poetry and English drama, to French philosophy and latin classics. She's such a full and interesting character, I'm left wishing that I could have been a guest on her farm in Africa.
