I really enjoyed this book. The storytelling is beautiful and with so many short chapters it moves quickly and I didn't want to stop reading. About 50-100 pages from the end I started being annoyed with the characters and didn't like how things were going, but by the end most was forgiven. It wrapped up some what neatly but I find myself wanting to know more. There is one point that the Schwartz talks about how those who can't coach, an analogy I don't like. I also find myself wanting to read more Melville or maybe at least rereading moby dick. It is long but worth it. I also liked being able to reminisce about my college roommate and reading about a small Midwestern liberal arts college.
