** spoiler alert ** Well, the summary is a bit misleading because, while everything happens what is described, it doesn't happen in that order or way or the facts are mixed up. *sigh*

I was expecting a book about dragons. And yes, there are dragons in it but the book is more about squirrels. Most of the time Lucy and David are trying to capture an hurt squirrel, David is writting his story about said squirrel and its friends and the squirrels are the reason David meets Sophia (his love interest). Yeah, dragons play an important part in all of this but I wish that there would have been more of them.

But, I still enjoyed the book. I love that David knows that something is going on with the (clay) dragons but he doesn't have proof. I love his interaction with Liz and Bonnington (the cat). I like how he lets himself be pulled into this world in which clay dragons are alive and you have to love them in order to keep them alive. And that the dragons are a part of yourself and help you with this part of you -> Gadzooks helping to write David his story. :)
