I have read several of John Grisham's books, but this one is a bit different because it is actually funny. It doesn't seem so 'stuffy.' David is going about his usual day of heading to work at a big law firm, but starts having a panic attack and just wants out. After several curious looks by fellow employees, he ends up jumping head first into the elevator and laughing as the doors closed, leaving behind his job and security. After walking around the city, he then goes into a bar and proceeds to get drunk, spending the whole day there--eating and chatting with the owner. On his way home in a cab, David notices a sign for Finley & Figg and tells the driver to take him there. That is when he goes stumbling in and telling them he wants to work there... The next day, the two men are surprised when David shows up, ready to go to work. One day Figg hears about a major drug company and a bad drug they have on the market and wheels start turning. He thinks this is their big break and proceeds to bring all of them into this case, which will either make them rich or destroy them. All of the characters have interesting personalities, making the story that much better. Once you start reading, not only will you laugh now and again, but you won't be able to put it down until you finish the last page!
