The Technology Pioneers series is full of interesting, relevant studies of different innovative companies, including Nintendo and Wikipedia. This particular book focuses on the technological and corporate creativity of computer animation studio Pixar. It covers the key people, inventions, important moments, struggles, and wild successes of a company most students will recognize as the creators of some of their favorite movies.
Ideal for a school report, the book includes color photos and additional information in sidebars and text boxes. Also included are essential facts, a glossary, additional resources, and a time line. While concepts and terms are defined, they are not in bold within the text, which would be helpful for students to know when to check the glossary.
The book is relevant, topical, and interesting,, an excellent choice for schools wanting to include more information on successful businesses, technology, innovation, and determination.
