I adored this book. I read it for a book club -- I admit, I might have never picked it up otherwise. A novel about Canadian politics? Zzzzzzz...

But I was completely charmed by this book. The writing is clever, the main character pompous but likeable, and the story is funny and makes you feel good. (Ironically, kinda the opposite of the ACTUAL Canadian politics...)

This is a light, fluffy and fun read -- the perfect 'beach read' for those that are normally immersed in heavy history books.
