Sue Skerl A kick-ass main character… CHECK! A good murder mystery… CHECK! One of the best books I have read … CHECK! Dana Stabenow’s Restless in the Grave has a storyline that kept me involved from the go. I have not read other Kate Shugak novels (name of the main character) and was able to read this one without the prior knowledge of the others and this book can stand on its own. But thanks to this book, I now have the 18 previous books to add to my to-read list.
Restless in the Grave brings together Kate Shugak and Liam Campbell, two of Dana Stabenow’s characters, to determine if Finn Grant was killed by accident or by sabotage. Set in Alaska, the story follows Kate into some pretty harrowing situations that would leave most of us running in the opposite direction. Her P.I skills help her in discovering the truth behind Finn’s death and how one mans greed brought tragedy to his family. I highly recommend this book. Note: I won this book on the goodreads giveaway
