This book starts with an interesting concept, but the follow through is quite weak. The plot is entirely too predictable, and the characters are, for the most part, very superficial. I saw the ending coming a mile away, and the only character I actually liked from the entire book was the next door neighbor. I can see this being a viable option for teachers wanting to spark a discussion on medical and biological research ethics, but otherwise I would pass it up for something more complex and less superficial or predictable.
