I was up and down while listening to this story. At times I thought it was good but at other times Goldy drove me crazy - all in all it was an enjoyable listen for the most of it.
Goldy Schulz is a caterer, who is married to a police detective and at the moment she is preparing a wedding for the bride from hell, Billie Attenborough who has changed the date twice, the menu many times and the last straw is when she adds 50 more people to the guest list a week before the wedding which means moving venues to the Gold Gulch Spa which is owned by a nemises of Goldy.
Then Doc Fin (the friendly retired local doctor and best fried to Goldy's godfather Jack) is killed in what looks like murdered - a car accident that was not accident. Goldy likes to think of herself as a bit of a detective so she puts on her thinking cap with this case too. At Billie's weddding to Doctor Craig Miller (or is it) her godfather is attacked and later dies in hospital. Jack left Goldy some clues that could help with Doc Fin's murder. It does not take long for Goldy to start finding things and this is where it got a bit interesting for me and make the book worth it.
There was lots of talk of cooking and different dishes were desribed and talked about, so you like food that might help.
Enjoy!
