This is an exciting historical book about a side of Chicago that most know little about. Even if you do know a little bit about it, I bet that most of this underworld has been unexposed until now for you. I didn't want this book to end, and I felt like I wanted to know more story, and to keep reading, long after it was over. The Freakonomics blog recommends it too!

Nophoto-m-25x33 After reading your review, I went to your profile and did the "compare books" thing (which is totally mega). After close analysis, I've determined that we mostly disagree on this and "Catcher In The Rye." Otherwise, we are pretty okay.
