A really nicely written memoir about the author's childhood growing up in an unconventional family in Botswana. I admired her mother's conviction in her beliefs on homeschooling -- and the fact that they were borne out when her children all enrolled in school as teenagers. Her father's tireless fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic was also inspiring.
