I know a lot of people have had to read this for high school or college, but I'd never had the opportunity and was a bit curious. This is definitely going to be in my top 10 favorite books. Bradbury develops a futuristic community in which free thought isn't frowned upon, as it never really happens. Firemen don't put fires out - they start them. The main character, Montag, is a fireman whose assignment it is to set books and houses that contain books on fire. Montag is different than the others, though, as he begins to question the motives behind his action, and steals books out of curiosity. He soon meets a former college professor and decides that it may be worthwhile to start acting against this accepted practice...
