Best book I have read in a while. A very readable mix of the history and science of cell lines and how the Lacks family was affected. Tragic and chilling description of the "home for the Negro insane", and the poverty this family lived in in the South as recently as the 50's - 70's. I thought that Deborah Lacks, so startlingly ignorant, was inspiring for her heart and spirit.
