I absolutely loved this book, even though it made me cry. I think the Lia and Cassie characters are so great in what kind of friendship they have and how its portrayed in the story even after Cassie is dead. Lia is basically struggling with he anorexia and the recent death of a past friend Cassie who she starts having visions of seeing. The battle is between Lia and her weight and Lia and her mom, dad, and step-mom and what relationships she has with all of them. I thought that although this book was VERY dark at times the message came through. I would think this book, if taught in schools, would best be taught to an older high school audience because of the descriptiveness of Lia's body and her cutting scene. I think this book may help to reach out to teens who are or know some one who has an eating disorder. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a strong stomach and a strong mind and that can get through this book with minimal tears.
